Terrell & Takako

Terrell & Takako are variety entertainers who specialize in juggling, magic, mime, origami, and unicycling. They have performed for thousands of audiences in Canada, Japan, and the United States. This couple has been featured on television in all three countries.

Terrell has studied mime with Marcel Marceau, taught juggling at the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Clown College, performed as a clown at Disneyland and in 1986 won an audition to become Tokyo Disneyland’s first variety entertainer.

While entertaining at Japan’s Yokohama Expo in 1989, Terrell met and married Takako. Together they created an act that they performed for 5 years at Huis Ten Bosch, a resort near Nagasaki, Japan. Takako’s juggling and performing debut in Japan was the subject of an hour television documentary.

Both are accomplished Jugglers — with clubs, torches, balls, rings, boxes, scarves and more. But, this dynamic duo are also skilled as Unicyclists, Mimes, Clowns, Professional Character Greeters, Balloon Sculptors, and Origami Artists (from traditional Japanese models, to “motion” models, to Dollar Bills)!

Additionally, Terrell’s talents include Hat Manipulations, Cup Manipulations, “Sticks”, Rope Spinning, and Magic.

Takako’s unique skills also include Asian Character Calligraphy, Umbrella Spinning, Bullwhip Cracking, Diablo Spinning, Rola Bola Balancing, and Face-Painting.
