The Long Beach Crawfish Festival is the official reunion event for me and my Louisiana friends and has been for three years now. Every one of us grew up in the bayous of Louisiana and went to school there as well. All of us went to Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana and learned the finer art of food, music, fun, and all things Cajun. We are Cajuns through and through and the Crawfish Festival was a natural draw for us to finally have some Cajun style fun. We are grateful for you promoting such an event in LA as it really did serve to bring us together once again after a long time of not seeing one another due to our own hectic schedules and other “life” and “way too busy” type reasons. So far, those of us who attend live in Los Angeles now (spread throughout the city). My friend Julie and I have created our own two-step specifically for the event and we add to the dance every year that we are there on the dance floor...I think we’re up to about 16 moves now, what a HOOT! And, of course, every year there is the traditional photo booth photo. Thank you for bringing a bit of home to LA for us Cajuns!! — D. Adams
